The Toyama-India Association was founded on September 20, 2011 with a mission to promote friendly relationships between India and Toyama Prefecture through economic and cultural exchanges. Our current membership is around 120 corporate and individual members.

We have sent economic and cultural delegations to India and held seminars and lectures related to India every year. Working closely with the Indian Embassy in Japan, we have also been promoting exchange programs in various fields as a bridge between India and Toyama, which include social gatherings honored by the presence of H.E. Ambassador of Indian to Japan and stage performances of traditional Indian martial arts and classical Indian performing arts.
